LEAVING MY SECOND HOME :(

semi-overcast 19 °C

LEAVING ROTARUA WAS VERY VERY SAD...SAYING GOODBYE TO THE MANY FRIENDS IVE MADE OVER THE LAST 5 WEEKS WAS HARD. I MANAGED TO FEND OFF THE TEARS TILL I BOARDED THE BUS THEN HAD A SHORT 10 MINUTE SOB BEFORE SAYING TO MYSELF 'HEY QUIT IT GIRL,FURTHER ADVENTURES AHEAD'
I HEAD TO A PLACE CALLED THAMES,NORTH OF ROTARUA AND THE GATEWAY TO THE CORROMANDEL PENNINSULA. ONE NIGHT HERE IN A VERY QUIET HOSTEL I ARRIVE IN TIME FOR A STUNNING SUNSET AND AN EARLY NIGHT. THE NEXT MORNING BEFORE I SET OFF FOR THE CORROMANDEL I WALK THE RESIDENT DOG ALONG THE BEACH AND THEN POP TO A CUTE LOCAL CRAFT MARKET IN TOWN.
THE JOURNEY TO THE CORROMANDEL IS BEAUTIFUL AND WE VISIT HOT WATER BEACH NAMED SO BECAUSE YOU CAN DIG A HOLE IN THE SAND AND STAND IN BOILING HOT WATER BELOW...A WIERD EXPERIENCE WHEN THE COLD WAVES ARE SPLASHING OVER YOUR KNEES AT THE SAME TIME.
MY BED FOR THE EVENING IS IN WHITIANGA,A NICE TOWN WITH A NICE BEACH. A GUY IN THE HOSTEL HAD BEEN FISHING AND BROUGHT BACK THESE HUGE GREEN LIPPED MUSSELS...JUST DELICIOUS.
THE NEXT DAY IS A LONG ONE AND ON THE WAY UP TO AUCKLAND WE VISIT WAITAMO CAVES. WE WALK 20 MINUTES THROUGH THE COVES WITH INCREDIBLE LIMESTONE FORMATIONS THEN A SHORT BOAT RIDE TO SEE THE GLOW WORMS WHICH WAS LIKE LOOKING UP INTO THE NIGHT SKY.

WHEN BACK IN AUCKLAND I SPEND MY LAST TWO NIGHTS IN A LOVELY COTTAGE STYLE HOSTEL JUST OUT OF TOWN. MY LAST DAY IN NEW ZEALAND IS SPENT HIKING UP SOME OLD VOLCANOES,MOUNT VICTORIA AND MOUNT EDEN. TO DO THIS I HAD TO GET THE FERRY TO DEVENPORT. THE VIEWS OF AUCKLAND WERE AMAZING FROM THE MOUNTS. ON TYE EVENING I GO UP THE AUCKLAND TOWER FOR MORE SUPER VIEWS OF THE CITY.

MY NEXT STOP....FIJI

THE CULTURAL NORTH ISLAND

all seasons in one day

THE JOURNEY FROM PICTON TO WELLINGTON WAS A BEAUTIFUL 3 HOUR BOAT JOURNEY WAVING GOODBYE TO THE GLORIOUS SOUTH ISLAND AND VERY EXCITED ABOUT SEEING THE NORTH ISLAND.
I ARRIVE IN WELLINGTON AND ALTHOUGH A FAIRLY LARGE CITY IT IS ACTUALLY QUITE A CUTE PLACE AND NOT TOO BUSY AT ALL. I STAY AT A CUTE HOSTEL WHICH IS JOINED TO A HOTEL WITH A RATHER LOUD BAR BUT ALL IS GOOD. I SPEND 2 DAYS SEEING AS MUCH OF THE CITY AS POSSIBLE. THE MUSEUM HERE IS AMAZING YOU COULD SPEND THE WHOLE DAY HERE AND ITS FREE JUST HOW I LIKE IT. IT HAS AN AMAZING MAORI SECTION WHICH IS VERY INTRESTING.
MY NEXT STOP IS NAPIER ITS A FAIRLY QUIET PLACE NOT ALOT TO DO EXCEPT WONDER AROUND LOOKING AT THE LOVELY ART DECO BUILDINGS AND LOTS OF EXPENSIVE HOUSING. ONLY HERE 1 NIGHT SO TAKE A WALK UP TO A LOOK OUT FOR NICE VIEWS OF THE PLACE.
NEXT DESTINATION IS LAKE TAUPO. I LIKE IT HERE THOUGH THE WEATHER HAS TURNED A LITTLE NASTY. I HIRE A BIKE FROM THE HOSTEL AND RIDE SOME TRAILS TO THE HUKA FALLS WHICH ARE PRETTY IMPRESSIVE AND THEN ONTO AN AREA CALLED CRATERS OF THE MOON AN AREA WITH LOTS OF THERMAL ACTIVITY.I WAS HOPING TO DO THE TONGARIRO CROOSING FROM HERE,IT IS AN 8 HR HIKE OVER VOLCANOES WHICH IS MENT TO BE ONE OF THE BEST WALKS IN THE WORLD HOWEVER THE WEATHER WASNT GOOD AND APPARANTLY ITS FAIRLY DANGEROUS WITHOUT CLEAR VISIBILITY SO THATS SOMETHING FOR MY NEXT TRIP !!

MY NEXT STOP IS ROTARUA. WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS STOP AS THIS IS A VERY CULTURAL PLACE WITH LOTS OF MAORI HISTORY ALL OF WHICH FASCINATES ME. I GO TO A CULTURAL PERFORMANCE ON THE EVENING WHICH INCLUDED A WELCOMING CEREMONY,A CONCERT WITH THE HAKA,A DELICIOUS MEAL CALLED THE HANGI COOKED BENEATH THE EARTH USING THE NATURAL HEATED AREAS AND THEN A CLOSING CEREMONY. THE NIGHT WAS FABULOUS.

MY NEXT MAIN STOP IS AUCKLAND AND ON THE WAY I STOP OFF AT MOUNT MANGANUI TO SEE A MAGNIFICENT SUN SET.
AUCKLAND IS HOW I EXPECTED...OVER POPULATED,TOO MUCH TRAFFIC AND FAR TOO STRESSFUL. OR MAYBE THATS JUST BECAUSE IM NOW A LITTLE TOO CHILLED OUT.
MORE THAN HALF THE POPULATION OF NZ LIVES IN AUCKLAND BUT I GUESS ITS STILL NOTHING LIKE THE MAJOR CITIES IN THE UK.
A SKY TOWER,LOTS AND LOTS OF SHOPS OH AND SUSHI..... NOT HAD ANY SINCE OZ.
THE SAILING BOATS CRUISE TO SOME OF THE NEARBY ISLANDS BUT ITS QUITE EXPENSIVE AND THE WEATHER ISNT REALLY RIGHT FOR SAILING.

FROM AUCKLAND I TRAVEL NORTH TO THE BAY OF ISLANDS. I STAY IN A PLACE CALLED PAIHIA. IT IS A VERY PRETTY SETTING. I PASS THROUGH WAITANGI A SPECIAL PLACE OF HISTORY AS IT IS WHERE THE TREATY BETWEEN THE MAORI CHIEFS AND THE QUEEN VICTORIAS GOVERNMENT WAS SIGNED IN 1840.
FROM THE BAY OF ISLANDS WE TRAVEL NORTH TOWARDS CAPE REIGNA THE MOST NORTHERN TIP OF NEW ZEALAND.CAPE REIGNA LIGHTHOUSE LOOKING OUT INTO THE OCEAN HAS A GREAT END OF THE WORLD FEEL TO IT ! DIRECTLY BELOW IS WHERE THE PACIFIC OCEAN AND THE TASMAN SEA MEET.
WE TRAVEL ALONG 90 MILE BEACH ON A SUPER BUS BEFORE HAVING A SCARY SAND BOARD SURF DOWN THE HUGE SAND DUNES. LOTS OF SCREAMING AND SAND EVERYWHERE(AND I MEAN EVERYWHERE)
ON THE WAY BACK DOWN TO AUCKLAND WE STOP IN HOKIANGA THE HOME OF WAIPOUA FORREST WITH ITS RIDICULOUSLY MASSIVE KAURI TREES SOME 1000 YEARS OLD KNOWN TO THE MAORI PEOPLE AS THE GODS OF THE FORREST. WONDERING AROUND THE FORREST IM LOOKING AROUND FOR THIS HUGE TREE I DIDNT QUITE EXPECT IT TO BE SO BIG ITS AMAZING.

OK...SO IVE DONE MOST OF THE NORTH ISLAND BUT IM THINKING OF STAYING A WHILE LONGER....SO ACTING ON IMPULSE I HAVE DECIDED TO HEAD BACK TO ROTARUA FOR A LITTLE WORK...AND PLAY FOR ANOTHER 5 WEEKS.
ROTARUA IS CALLED THE SULPHUR CITY GIVING AN INSIGHT OF WHATS HAPPENING BENEATH THE EARTHS CRUST WITH ITS THERMAL SPRINGS,BUBBLING MUD AND GEYSERS.
IM LIVING AND WORKING IN A HOSTEL CALLED PLANET NOMADS ITS VERY SMALL,FRIENDLY AND THE OWNERS GRAEME AND FLICK ARE REALLY LOVELY PEOPLE. I FEEL REALLY AT HOME HERE AND THE OTHER STAFF PAUL A KEEN BIKER AND 3 CANADIAN GIRLS ARE JUST GREAT.
ROTARUA IS SURROUNDED BY MANY BEAUTIFUL LAKES SOME OF WHICH IVE PEDALLED ROUND TAKING IN THE FANTASTIC VIEWS FROM EVERY ANGLE. LAKE ROTARUA,OKAREKA,TARAWERARA,ROTOITI AND THE BEAUTIFUL BLUE AND GREEN LAKES.

IVE SPENT MOST OF MY TIME IN ROTARUA ON A BIKE EITHER RIDING AROUND THE LAKES OR MOUNTAIN BIKING WITH PAUL IN THE REDWOODS WHICH IS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS IVE EVER DONE. ROTARUA IS WORLD FAMOUS FOR ITS MOUNTAIN BIKING TRAILS AND IVE HAD AN AMAZING TIME BRAVING SOME OF THEM ON A WICKED BIKE WHICH I BORROWED.
IM WRITING THIS AT A SAD TIME AS IM LEAVING ROTARUA IN THE MORNING AFTER 5 AMAZING WEEKS WHERE I HAVE MET FRIENDS FOR LIFE AND HAD EXPERIENCES ILL NEVER FORGET. THE GIRLS ARE PLANNING A BIT OF A BASH LATER BUT IM HOPING NOT TO BE TOO HUNGOVER AS I TRAVEL ON TO THAMES TOMORROW AND THEN TO THE CORROMANDEL FOR THE WEEKEND.
IM KINDA SAD:( BUT HAPPY AT THE SAME TIME. . . A FUNNY FEELING.

NEW ZEALAND...THE BEAUTIFUL SOUTH ISLAND

23 °C

IT IS THE 4TH OF MARCH AND AFTER 8 LONG FAB MONTHS IN AUSTRALIA I DEPART ON MY FLIGHT TO NEW ZEALAND. MY FIRST STOP IS CHRISTCHURCH(IT IS FREEZING HAD TO BUY A JUMPER) LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE SOUTH ISLAND. THE MOUNTAIN RANGES FROM THE AEROPLANE ARE MAGNIFICENT,SO DIFFRENT TO ANYTHING I HAVE EVER SEEN.CHRISTCHURCH IS THE BIGGEST CITY IN THE SOUTH BUT VERY SMALL IN COMPARISON TO THE CITIES IN OZ.IT IS AN OLD FASHIONED ENGLISH STYLE PLACE WITH A BEAUTIFUL CATHEDRAL AND THE MANY SHOPS SELLING WALKING GEAR AND NEW ZEALAND WOOL. I STAY IN A HOSTEL CALLED THE JAILHOUSE,IT IS AN OLD RENOVATED JAIL AND I HAVE A BUNK IN A VERY COLD CELL!!
HERE I PLAN MY JOURNEY AROUND NEW ZEALAND DECIDING BETWEEN RENTING A CAR OR TAKING THE BUS. I EVENTUALLY CHOOSE THE MAGIC BUS A NETWORK THAT STOPS OFF AT MOST PLACES AND ALSO TAKES YOU TO SOME PLACES YOU PROBABLY WOULDNT GET TO YOURSELF.

MY FIRST STOP IS KAIKOURA WHICH IN MOARI MEANS TO EAT(KAI)CRAYFISH(KOURA) IF YOU HADNT GUESSED THEY ARE HUGE ON SEAFOOD HERE AS WELL AS WHALE WATCHING AND WILD DOLPHIN SWIMMING.(THE WEATHER IS NOW SUPER) I EMBARK ON A WHALE WATCH EARLY ENOUGH TO CATCH A SUPER SUNSET. WE SEE THE HUGE WINGSPAN OF THE ALBATROSS,A POD OF DUSKY DOLPHINS...AND THE A FABULOUS 18 METRE WHALE WHICH AFTER BREATHING ON THE SURFACE FOR 15 MINUTES DIVES BACK DOWN TO FEED DISPLAYING HIS MAGNIFICENT TAIL ...A MOMENT TO REMEMBER. FOR SUPPER I ROUND THE DAY OFF WITH SOME TASTY GREEN LIPPED MUSSELS AND A CRAYFISH PATTIE...YUM.

THE JOURNEY ON THE MAGIC BUS IS WONDERFUL BECAUSE THE SCENERY IS JUST AMAZING,THE MANY DIFFRENT COLOURS.THE MOUNTAINS,THE LAKES AND THE GREENERY CHANGE ROUND EVERY CORNER.IT HASNT TAKEN ME LONG TO FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS PICTURESQUE COUNTRY.
AFTER A LONG JOURNEY MY NEXT STOP IS NELSON LYING IN THE NORTH WEST. I LIKE IT HERE MAYBE BECAUSE THE SUN IS SHINING AGAIN. FROM HERE I GO TO THE ABEL TASMAN NATIONAL PARK WHERE I DO A 5 HR SCENIC WALK ONE DAY, KIP IN A LUXURY TENT AND KAYAK BACK THE NEXT DAY. .... VERY TIRED.

THE MAGIC BUS DOES EARLY MORNING PICK UPS SO MY ALARM IS SET MOST DAYS FOR 630AM. AS I HEAD DOWN THE WEST COAST THE SCENERY MAKES THE EARLY ALARM WORTH WHILE. WE STOP OFF AT ROSS AN OLD GOLD MINING TOWN THEN WE VIEW THE PANCAKE ROCKS,BASICALLY ROCKS THAT LOOK LIKE LAYERS OF PANCAKES AFTER THIS WE
SPEND THE NIGT IN GREYMOUTH NOT A LOT GOING ON HERE BUT A BREWERY TOUR FOR A TENNER TURNED OUT TO BE GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY ONCE THE HOST LET US LOOSE ON THE TAPS !! I MEET A BUNCH OF GUYS HERE AND ARRANGE TO MEET UP WITH THEM FURTHER DOWN THE TRACK FOR ST PATRICKS NIGHT.

FRANZ JOSEF
FJ IS A SMALL VILLAGE AND HOME OF A LARGE GLACIER OF WHICH I CLIMB. I CHOOSE A FULL DAYS GUIDED HIKE OVER A HALF DAY OR A HELICOPTER RIDE WHICH IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE. THE HIKE IS AMZING,YOU ARE KITTED OUT IN WARM CLOTHING,BOOTS AND CRAMPONS. YOU SET OFF WITH YOUR GUIDE WHO CARVES OUT STEPS IN THE ICE FOR YOU TO MAKE IT SLIGHTLY EASIER. THE WALK WAS PHYSICALLY DEMANDING AND COLD AT TIMES BUT WAS SO MUCH FUN AND WELL WORTH THE EFFORT.

WANAKA AND QUEENSTOWN
1 NIGHT STOP IN LAKE WANAKA WAS SO LOVELY AND PEACEFUL. THE LAKE IS BEAUTIFUL WITH THE HOSTEL HAVING FAB VIEWS.YOU CAN SEE WHY THIS PLACE COMES A CLOSE 2ND TO QUEENSTOWN ON TOP DESTINATONS FOR THE SOUTH ISLAND.
QUEENSTOWN IS BY FAR THE MOST POPULAR PLACE IN THE SOUTH. IT IS HOME OF THE ADRENALIN JUNKIE AND THE VERY FIRST BUNGEE WAS HERE ON THE KAWARAU BRIDGE. HAVING CONTEMPLATED TAKING PART IN THIS NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE I DECIDE ON A NOTHER ACTIVITY A LITTLE MORE APPEALLING. ITS CALLED THE FLY BY WIRE (SEE PIC)THE ONLY 1 IN THE WORLD AND ALTHOUGH LOOKS SCARY WAS SO MUCH FUN AND PROVIDED ADECENT WORK OUT FOR MY ADRENALIN GLANDS. I STAY IN QUEENSTOWN 3 NIGHTS AND SPEND 1 DAY CRUISING MILFORD SOUNDS ANOTHER RIDING THE GONDALA AND THE LUGE AND THE 3RD ON THE FLY BY WIRE WITH A SERIOUS ST PADDIES HANGOVER.

SADLY LEAVING QUEENSTOWN FOR DUNEDIN ORIGINALLY A SCOTTISH SETTLEMENT AND FULL OF STUDENTS WHO ATTEND THE UNNIVERSITY HERE. THE PLACE IS QUIET AS ITS EASTER AND EVERYTHING IS SHUT DOWN YET GOOD TIMING FOR A WEE TRIP TO THE CADBURY FACTORY IN TIME FOR A HALF PRICE EASTER EGG!!

MY LAST STOP IN THE SOUTH ISLAND IS LAKE TEKAPO. WE DONT ARRIVE HERE TILL 4PM JUST IN TIME FOR A LAZY EVENING SAT BY THE LAKE WITH A COUPLE OF BEERS ROUNDING OFF THIS BEAUTIFUL PART OF THE WORLD IN STYLE ON THE BANKS OF YET ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL LAKE. NEW ZEALAND TRULY IS THE BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD :)

MELBOURNE

MY FAVOURITE CITY....UP TO NOW

MELBOURNE IS BY FAR MY FAVOURITE CITY AND THE ONLY PLACE IN AUSTRALIA WHERE I WOULD LOVE TO LIVE.
ST KILDA IS A BACKPACKER FRIENDLY SUBURB WITH A BEACH AND THIS IS WHERE I HEAD FIRST. ITS AN OLD FASHIONED PLACE AND REMINDS ME A LITTLE OF GOOD OLD BLACKPOOLWITH ITS OLD FASHIONED TRAMS PARADING UP AND DOWN THE ESPLANADE AND THE ORIGINAL AND FAMOUS LUNA PARK-AN OLD FASHIONED THEME PARK FROM THE 60S.
I ARRIVE AT 8PM THE SUN IS STILL VERY HOT ITS BEEN 42 DEGREES TODAYA RIDICULOUS TEMPERATURE A BUT AS I SOON FIND OUT THE MELBOURNE CLIMATE IS ALITTLE CRAZY AND THE CONDITIONS CHANGE EVERY FEW HOURS.
I STAY IN ST KILDA FOR 2 WEEKS WHILST SEARCHING FOR A JOB. I MEET SOME OF THE BEST PEOPLE MOSTLY ENGLISHAND WE HANG OUT TOGETHER PLAYING FOOTIE ON THE BEACH AND DRINKING LOTS OF THAT CHEAP GOON. AT 1AM WE HEAD OFF TO ONE OF MANY LIVE MUSIC CLUBS WHICH ARE OPEN TILL AROUND 7.
THE GUYS CONTINUE THERE TRAVELS BUT I REALLY WANT TO STAY IN MEL AND LAND MYSELF AN APARTMENT ON THE SOUTH BANK IN THE CITY OVERLOOKING THE RIVER WITH 2 WONDERFUL ENGLISH GIRLS NAT AND LILY. SO I BASE MYSELF HERE AND CARRY ON MY SEARCH FOR WORK.
FINDING A TEMP JOB IS A STRUGGLE SO I KEEP MYSELF BUSY DOING SOME OF THE MANY TOURIST THINGS --
I WENT TO THE AUSTRALIAN OPEN FINALS AS WELL AS A FEW GAMES PRIOR TO THAT.
I VISITED THE OLD MELBOURNE GOAL NOW A MUSEUM AND THE PLACE WHERE NED KELLY WAS HUNG
I VISITED THE GREAT OCEAN ROAD ON A 3 DAY TRIP IN A CLAPPED OUT CAMPER, A SPECTACULAR COASTAL ROUTE BETWEEN MELBOURNE AND ADALAIDE,A PLEASURE TO DRIVE...
STILL NOT VISITED RAMSAY STREET...HA HA BUT LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT AND MEETING HAROLD BISHOP!!

NOW A LITTLE ABOUT MELBOURNE CITY.....
FEDERATION SQUARE IS A HUGE PLACE FOR EVENTS OR JUST HANGING OUT AS I DO...PEOPLE WATCHING OR WATCHING SPORT ON THE BIG SCREEN.
THE YARRA VALLEY RUNS THROUGH THE CITY AND THE BOTANICAL GARDENS ARE A SHORT STROLL AND VERY BEAUTIFUL.
ALL THE SPORTING STADIUMS ARE CLOSE BY THE MELBOURNE CRICKET GROUND.OLYMPIC PARK AND THE ROD LAVER ARENA (TENNIS)
THE SUBURBS SURROUNDING THE CITY OFFER EVERYTHING FROM GREAT ORIGINAL SHOPPING, GORGEOUS FOOD IN THE STYLE OF ITALIAN AND GREEK AND GREAT PEOPLE.

SYDNEY

sunny 30 °C

I NEVER EXPECTED TO LOVE SYDNEY QUITE AS MUCH AS I DO. MANY PEOPLE HAVE SAID ITS OVER RATED AND ONCE YOUVE SEEN THE OPERA HOUSE THATS THAT. I CANT REMEMBER HOW MANY PICTURES I HAVE TAKEN OF THE OPERA HOUSE AND THE BRIDGE BUT EACH TIME I SEE THEM I CANT HELP MYSELF ITS ASTHOUGH IM SEEING THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME ! THE ATMOSPHERE AROUND CIRCULAR QUAY IS BRILLIANT AND YOU COULD STROLL AROUND THAT AREA ALL DAY. THE BOTANICAL GARDENS ARE CLOSE BY AND BEAUTIFUL AND YOU GET A GREAT PIC OF THE BRIDGE AND OPERA HOUSE TOGETHER FROM THERE.
SYDNEY WASNT HALF AS BUSY AS I EXPECTED DESPITE ME BEIN THERE AT THE BUSIEST TIME OF YEAR ! EACH AREA IS DIFFERENT. I STAYED IN AN APARTMENT IN A PLACE CALLED DARLINGHURST A JOYFUL AREA FULL OF TRENDY CAFES AND COOL PEOPLE. BUT TO MY RIGHT IS KINGS CROSS THE RED LIGHT DISTRICT OF SYDNEY...NOT A PRETTY SIGHT. 20 MINS WALK AWAY IN 1 DIRECTION IS THE OPERA HOUSE AND 20 IN THE OTHER IS DARLING HARBOUR ANOTHER CHARMING PLACE WITH GREAT BARS AND LOVELY RESTARAUNTS.
ONE OF MY FAVOURITE PARTS OF SYDNEY IS A PLACE CALLED THE ROCKS. THIS IS OLD SYDNEY WITH OLD STREET MARKETS,GREAT SHOPS AND LOTS OF GALLERIES AND MUSEUMS. I SPENT A FULL DAY HERE STROLLING AROUND AND SOAKING UP THE ATMOSPHERE.
A SHORT BUS RIDE AWAY IS BONDI BEACH AND COOGEE BEACH BOTH ARE POPULAR WITH SUN WORSHIPPERS. BEIN AWAY FOR SIX MONTHS SUNBATHING DOESNT HAVE THE SAME APPEAL SO INSTEAD I DO A 2 HOUR WALK FROM COOGEE TO BONDI ALONG THE SCENIC COAST WHICH WAS NICE.
THE BLUE MOUNTAINS IS A DAY TRIP FROM SYDNEY AND VERY BEAUTIFUL. IT HAS 1 OF AUSTRALIAS FAMOUS ICONS A ROCK FORMATION CALLED THE 3 SISTERS AND WE VIEW THIS FROM THE SCENIC SKYWAY.
BEING IN AN APARTMENT OVER CHRISTMAS WAS LOVELY AND WE ENJOYED A TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS LUNCH WITH ALL THE TRIMMINGS. NEW YEAR TOPPED THE LOT. THE FIREWORKS OVER THE HARBOUR BRIDGE WERE SUPER AND WE GOT AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE SITTING IN THE BOTANIC GARDENS FOR 15 HOURS PRIOR TO MIDNIGHT ! THE SUN WAS OUT,THE ATMOSPHERE WAS GREAT AND IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT.
LEAVING THE LUXURY OF AN APARTMENT IS HARD BUT I HAVE A NEW CITY TO LOOK FORWARD TO NOW. HEADING OFF TO MELBOURNE TO JOB HUNT AND HOPEFULLY SETTLE FOR A WHILE.
