TUTS ON TOUR.....BANGKOK

BANGKOK

38 °C

hi again
arrived safe in bangkok after that lovely flight
airport very busy decided to get a taxi to our pre booked hostel

however taxi took us completely wrong way to a different place with ahostel with a similar name !! it was nearly midnight and the streets were full of market stalls selling noodles and fish and counterfeit clothing. tuc tuc drivers trying to offer you a lift for 10 baht (about 15p)
we felt quite intimdated at first like we were fresh meat but you soon get used to the hustle and bustle in the street.

the hostel we were took to seemed ok until we checked the rooms we desperately needed somewhere to stay but after climbing 7 flights of stairs to go look at the room and it being dirty i was a bit fed up and the hottest ive ever felt. Luckily we bumped into an english girl who pointed us in the direction of some better hostels.
we eventually found 1 that was quite ok and stayed for three nights. the place we were staying ended up being the best place for backpackers called khoa san road in banglamphu and was used for the first scenes off the film the beach.

Bangkok is well worth a visit its very interesting.
weve eaten some lovely thai food from restaurants as well as the market stalls the thai people are exceptionally friendly
we visited the grand palace which was amazing (pics will be added shortly when i work it out) it was very hot when we went and very busy
we have even been to a sex show althho didnt know it was gonna be that kinda show quite an eye opener as they actually have sex on stage !!! of course its perfectly acceptable over here.

heading off to the beaches now first one krabi on the west coast
apparantly beautiful hoping for a tan !!!
bye for now
